Opening remarks begin at 5 p.m. at the gazebo at the east end of the park, followed by the walk to Beachway Park. Free, and no registration is needed.
A gathering held on 30 September, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, to honour Residential School Survivors and remember the children who never returned home. After opening remarks at the gazebo, participants walk the Waterfront Trail to Beachway Park for a tobacco ceremony. Orange shirts are encouraged.
Editions on record
One row per edition, each against the same year, so where in the calendar this event falls is visible rather than inferred. Editions are added, never overwritten — a year that was cancelled or did not run stays exactly where it was. This record begins with 2026; earlier editions may well have run, and are simply not yet sourced.
